CMF Watch Pro 2

Watch Pro 2 by CMF: My Hands-On Review

After hearing a lot of buzz about the CMF Watch Pro 2, I decided to give it a try and see how it stacks up against other smartwatches I’ve used. Having worn it for a few weeks now, I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations in some areas, while in others, I think there’s room for improvement.

Design and Build Quality

First impressions matter, and the CMF Watch Pro 2 doesn’t disappoint when it comes to looks. It has a sleek and modern design, with a sturdy aluminum frame that feels solid yet lightweight on the wrist. The silicone strap is comfortable, even during long wear, and the display is sharp with great visibility in both low light and sunlight. It’s definitely a good-looking smartwatch that can easily go from workout sessions to casual outings without feeling out of place.

The display is a standout feature for me. The 1.96-inch AMOLED screen is vibrant, responsive, and easy to read even outdoors. The always-on display option is a nice touch, giving it a premium feel without significantly draining the battery.

Performance and Features

The Watch Pro 2 is packed with features that you’d expect from a high-end smartwatch. What I found particularly useful were the health tracking features. It monitors heart rate, SpO2 levels, sleep quality, and even stress levels. The data seemed accurate compared to other devices I’ve used, and I appreciated the detailed insights it provided through the CMF app.

One feature that I didn’t expect to rely on so much was the AI-powered sleep tracking. It breaks down sleep into various stages—light, deep, and REM—and even gives you a sleep score. Over time, it’s helped me adjust my sleep patterns and feel more rested. The heart rate monitoring is also reliable and tracks continuously throughout the day, so I feel like I have a good picture of my overall health.

For fitness enthusiasts, there are plenty of workout modes—running, cycling, swimming, and more. It even tracks yoga, which I found surprisingly accurate. The GPS tracking is another bonus, especially for outdoor runs. It locks onto satellites quickly and doesn’t drain the battery excessively when active.

One downside for me, though, was the limited third-party app support. While the Watch Pro 2 has all the basic apps like weather, music control, and notifications, it doesn’t integrate as smoothly with some fitness apps I use, like Strava. Hopefully, CMF will add more compatibility over time.

Battery Life

Battery life on the Watch Pro 2 is quite impressive. I typically got around 10 days on a single charge with moderate usage. Even when I used GPS frequently or enabled the always-on display, I could go a full week without needing to charge. Charging is also pretty fast—it takes about 1.5 hours to get from 0% to full, which is great when you’re in a rush.

User Experience

Using the Watch Pro 2 has been smooth overall. The interface is intuitive, and the touchscreen is responsive with little to no lag. Navigation is simple, and the layout of the menus makes it easy to find what you’re looking for. I especially liked the watch face customization options—there are plenty of styles to choose from, so you can personalize it to match your mood or outfit.

The notification system works well for the most part. I receive texts, calls, and app alerts on my wrist, and I can easily glance at them without pulling out my phone. One small complaint, though, is the lack of detailed replies—you can respond to messages with preset replies, but it doesn’t have the flexibility of typing out responses or using voice-to-text.

Connectivity and Ecosystem

The CMF app pairs seamlessly with the Watch Pro 2 and offers a comprehensive overview of health and fitness stats. The app interface is clean and user-friendly, making it easy to access historical data or tweak the watch’s settings. One thing I do wish for, though, is a broader integration with smart home devices or voice assistants. The Watch Pro 2 doesn’t quite have the smart assistant functionality that I’ve come to appreciate in other wearables.

Conclusion

Overall, I’m really impressed with the CMF Watch Pro 2. It’s a fantastic option if you’re looking for a stylish, feature-packed smartwatch with a focus on health and fitness. The design, display, and battery life are its standout features, while the health tracking capabilities offer valuable insights into daily wellness.

That said, there are some areas where it could improve, particularly in app support and smart assistant features. But for the price point, it offers great value and has quickly become my go-to watch for both workouts and everyday wear.

If you’re considering the CMF Watch Pro 2, I’d say it’s worth the investment, especially if you’re after a solid all-rounder with impressive battery life and health tracking features.
